Carbon Emissions reduction in Construction
Crime and Fire Introduce Lower Carbon Generators to site.
Crime and Fire are committed to lowering carbon emissions during construction projects. A system has been designed and deployed on site to minimise the run-time of the diesel generator which is powering the welfare establishment. Utilising a specially commissioned and built power saving unit, which is effectively an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) the idea is that the generator fully charges the Lithium batteries whilst running at full load. Once the batteries are fully charged, the generator will stop and the batteries will supply the power to the site. A solar power array has also been incorporated into the design which can supply up to 5KW of power. All the parameters of the system are monitored via an internet link back at our head office, any adjustments can be made remotely to the system.
